Work Life Balance


You may feel stress lately and wonder how to get the relief. The stress normally can be categorised into two types, i.e. from work or from home. Office stress is quite common to most of the time which mostly affected by the reporting deadlines, bosses requirement, office politics and unfriendly colleague. Home stress is normally created by partner arguments, financial matters, illnesses, kids and family members. However, the stress is most of the time created or initiated by ourselves from having a difference view and thought. Below is some tips which may relieve you from the unnecessary stress. 

At work:
1)      Make a distinction between work and your personal time
Don't bring uncompleted works back to your home. Turn off the electronic communications for your private time. 

2)      Use technology
Know how to maximise the usage of the technology will always help to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the time spent. 

3)      Avoid Cunctation
Most of the work pressure is deduced from the disorganised and procrastinating. Thus, set more realistic goals and deadlines for yourself. 

4)      Schedule a short breaks
Try to take a ten minutes break after two hours of work. Scientifically proven that it will increase your productivity and effectiveness. 

5)      Plan for next day
Always plan your priorities for the following day at the end of each day. 

6)      Plan your holidays and annual leaves
Plan a vacation with family and friend at least once a year. Go for vacation will allow you to refresh, recharge and improve productive while come back to work. 

7)      Make a distinction between work and your personal time

At home:
1)      Simplify
To find a way to simplify life. Maybe change your lifestyle or way of communication. 

2)      Share the burden
Get your partner or family members to share your personal or family responsibilities and matters. 

3)      Let Things Go
Do not sweat or border for the small stuff. Learn to recognise things that give less impact in your life and to let the other to handle it and try not to beat yourself up for doing so. 

4)      Know to seek help
If you are feeling flooded with your family responsibilities, explore into options available and seek for assistance and counsel.
